Back in the fall, we visited the Smoky Mountains. This tree was photographed in a valley called Cades Cove. I stand amazed at how awesome the LORD is as our creator. Just like he plants the trees of the field, he implants His word into out hearts. Psalm 19:8a says that, "The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart."
The bible talks about joy a lot. It is the second fruit of the Spirit and it was a virtue of Jesus. Jesus said to his disciples, "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full" (John 15:11 NASB). Jesus desired for his disciples to have joy- full joy. He desires that for us too.
But joy does not depend on the circumstances around us. It comes from God. It is a delight that can be continually experienced becuase God's Spirit dwells within us.
It is through His word that we can rejoice deep within our hearts.
Thank God today for giving us Joy through Jesus. Thank Him for His word that brings joy to our hearts.

Blogging to remember, treasure and share the joy of Jesus.

"His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master."
