Treasuring Christ begins by seeking Him first in each day. Many women begin their day and don't seek God first. Here on the Joy Treasure blog, I will post a simple devotion with a scripture. Sometimes it may just be a scripture with some thoughts about it.

"Her heart has not turned back, nor have her steps departed from your way." Psalm 44:18
It's so easy for a woman's heart to want to turn to the right or to the left toward worldly things. There are many things grasping for her attention. But the Bible tells us how a woman can stay Christ focused- my keeping her heart toward God's Word. Whenever God spoke in the Bible and asked things of His people- to follow and love him.
The places we go and the things we do really matter. Are they things that are pleasing to the LORD? Are the affections of our hearts toward the world, or toward the things of God?
Keep your heart focused on God's truth and promises. And then walk in them and don't forget them. When you are tempted to turn, stop and remind yourself of the truth you have learned and walk the other way back toward God.
